Good morning!
Chances are pretty high that I won’t be updating you much today as I anticipate flying with two little ones will keep me pretty busy! We are on our way to the airport now so the trip has already begun. While I have done all I can to prepare for and anticipate and prepare for many potential situations, I am trusting that the Lord will watch over us and help me in each moment. From departure for the airport to final destination is scheduled to take 17.5 hours if all goes according to plan. Thank you for your prayers and encouragement, I’ll be needing an extra dose today. We are greatly looking forward to being reunited with Benjamin, especially as Easter weekend approaches. Christ conquered death and we get to celebrate with believers across the world knowing that our Savior lives! Even as we actively disobeyed and spat in God’s face, he was working out a plan to redeem us. A plan that required complete justice to be served in order for complete forgiveness to be gifted. Praise the Lord that he delights in using each of us to accomplish his purposes day in and day out. May all glory be to God as we celebrate his redeeming love for us!
While I don’t have any pictures to share with you today, I think thenPermafrost Posse was able to get out on some snow mobiles for a fun Alaska adventure yesterday. I don’t know what today holds, but as they come to pick me up from the airport, also be praying for the safe return of Josh and Jacob. They will be departing from the Anchorage airport about two hours after I land and flying through the night to make it back to Pennsylvania.
2:52 pm (EST) Update
Mikaela and the boys have arrived safely in MSP and are looking forward to an on time departure for ANC in two hours. The first flight went very well, no much to report.
4:44 pm (EST) Update
Boarding continues to be delayed as the cleaning crew re-boarded to continue cleaning. I have one very overtired “why” boy on my hands, and one who (sorry if it’s TMI) very much needs to poop but is refusing to. He is also very tired.
Thank you for your prayers, I’ll update you again from Alaska, Lord willing.
