Thank you all for continuing to pray as the drive to Alaska!
Day 2
Day two was a success for the three stooges, the Alaskan Adventurers, the Permafrost Posse! (Thank you to all who texted, emailed, and reached out with ideas. Would you engage with me one more time to finalize the name?)
I did not write an update during nap-time yesterday since there was not much to report as they spent the morning visiting with friends and resetting the rig. Unfortunately, by evening, I ran into computer troubles and didn’t have a way to update you. Hopefully you assumed that no news is good news because that was the case yesterday! Time spent in fellowship with other believers and close friends who have moved is always refreshing, and good food certainly is a bonus. They also took the opportunity in the morning to pick up and install sway bars on the trailer, plug the trailer tire (which will now serve as backup number two), pick up a fuel filter for the truck – just in case the code comes back, and settle in for the long haul. Once they departed after lunch, they made their way to Wisconsin with their eyes set on the North Dakota – Canada boarder. Check back later today for a more detailed update, but as I compose this update at 6 am, they have finished the trek through Minnesota and are closing in on the Canadian border in ND.

Took a short detour to visit Samuel

And visited with another Samuel! (and the rest of the family)
Please continue to lift them up and surround them with your prayers. Last month, when Benjamin and I attended a camping conference in Idaho with the rest of the staff, we had a chance to talk to the Executive Director about our upcoming trip. He warned us to be prepared for anything because, while people make the trip uneventfully all the time, an uncanny number of those making the move to work for Victory Ministries have encountered significant setbacks along the way. The work of spiritual warfare that it takes to physically move there is real, and we need you to battle with us. Thank you!
I want to share with you a quote from a recent Victory Review email, written by the Executive Director. His perspective on ministry partnership and the work of prayer you do is exactly what I want you all to hear.
“Gospel Partnership: Shared Mission
When we speak of partnership at Victory Ministries, we mean something deeply biblical. The New Testament word koinonia describes shared participation—co-laboring together in a common mission. That is how we see you. Everyone receiving this monthly newsletter is part of that partnership. You have prayed, given, or served, and together we are advancing one mission: making disciples.
Jesus did not call us to create moments, but disciples. Evangelism flows from that. As lives are transformed, the Gospel moves outward through them. At camp, we see this clearly; seeds are planted, truth takes root, and over time, lives are changed—and those lives begin to influence others. This is where partnership matters: what none of us can do alone, God multiplies together. Thank you for stepping into that work with us.
In Christ,
Ward Hurlburt, IV”
Thank you for stepping into this work with us!

We’re a young couple following the Lord’s call to serve at Victory Bible Camp in Glacier View, Alaska. We believe in the power of Christ-centered community, the beauty of wild places, and the joy of saying “yes” — even when you can’t see the whole path. Thanks for walking with us.
Stay in the Loop.
