Morning Update
Last night, the Permafrost Posse spent the night at Charlie Lake, BC, and were back on the road this morning. As of right now, they are stopped in Wonowon, BC. They are trying to decide whether to continue crawling through the snow and darkness or wait to see if the daylight improves the visibility. Please be praying for improved weather conditions and wisdom as they travel.

Afternoon Update
Here in Pennsylvania, the boys and I have been enjoying time outside at the park and visiting with friends. It’s hard to believe our last big goodbyes are coming up so quickly, but we are less than a week from our own departure. As I reflect on the many friendships that will become long-distance as we move to Alaska, I am thankful for each one. People that God has used to mold us and encourage us will be missed. Looking forward to the community that awaits us does not diminish the sadness of leaving the one we have here. A friend once told me it just makes our hearts ache all the more for the day when we will all be united in God’s eternal kingdom. I couldn’t agree more.
The Permafrost Posse continues to make its way across British Columbia with increasing visibility. As of writing this update, they have just entered the Northern Canadian Rockies, and the snow is letting up! Driving conditions are still not perfect. They say whenever a truck comes towards them on the road, it kicks up so much snow dust that they are driving in a whiteout for a few seconds after they pass. Benjamin asked a local at a gas station how truckers can see well enough to go as fast as they do, and the answer? “They don’t see, they just go.” They also learned that there was green grass this time last year; this year, there have been terrible snow conditions.
At their current pace, I expect they will arrive at camp sometime on Sunday, but I will continue to keep you updated! Thank you for your prayers and encouragement, I love to hear how many people are praying for their safety. Thank you!
